Our colleagues from the Czech Republic have made a music video that they’d like to share with us.

The aim of the campaign is to show that police officers are also human beings who deeply experience their demanding work and are not indifferent to the fate of missing children and their families. At the same time, we want to emphasize that police officers must balance their professional duties with their personal lives every day.

The author of the song, Colonel JUDr. Milan Hodr, used his hobby—singing—as a means to raise awareness of the issue of missing children, especially those who have not yet been found (the so-called Forget-me-not children). The campaign was created by a female police officer :Colonel Mgr. Ivana Diessner,  from the Search Department, who is directly involved in the issue of searching for missing children and who also appears in the video clip.

The Forget-me-nots music video will include the story of a young girl who suddenly disappears from a playground. The video will present the work of all units of the Police of the Czech Republic that are involved in real-life searches for missing persons.

It will highlight the work of an emergency call operator, a K9 handler, a public order unit, the crew of the special command vehicle Jupiter, the river police unit, and plainclothes officers from the search department.

The story will have a happy ending.

At the end of the video clip, real cases of missing children in the Czech Republic who have not yet been located will be highlighted, so they are not forgotten.

The music video was produced by the Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in Písek (FAMO), entirely free of charge and without any claim to remuneration. Directed by Michal Pazderka, cinematography by Matěj Vosol and Maxmilian Dresler + Jan Blaha. The video features real police officers and units of the Police of the Czech Republic involved in the search for missing persons.
